This is a bit better than what's shown in the video (loses 2 ticks/cycle less). If you don't want to get hit at all you need to time the first hit from the sw corner and skip the next hit. The hitsplat from your hit on bandos should show the tick bandos would attack you. Here is an example run showing this method.
