It was flashing a fault code of 3-4 (3 blinks, pause, 4 blinks). I could switch off the engine, then restart and mow as usual, but after a minute or two the same thing would happen.Another cause would be excessive heat from the engine, muffler, overload, or bad bearing. The Deere part number for the coil is AM38624 if it is indeed as described above. Maybe I can track down the Ogura number too. On the back of the coil I bought through JD is Ogura part number MA-GT-JD7.
