Each and everyone has/had issues using BT connections consistently. In my '21 JT I use a BT dongle to replace the wire which of course adds an additional device into the mix. The '24 may be better, but don't expect too much. According to Jeep, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available for the Wrangler, but it doesn’t come on every trim. Since you are getting some reaction on the steering wheel, then you probably have the right harness. I would start there and make sure your harness includes steering control.

Sometimes going into settings on phone and manually connecting phone to device on either BT or WI-FI will fix. Sometimes turning both WI-FI and BT off and back on on iPhone fixes it. I’m a tech nerd and my biggest complaint on my Jeep is actually the lack of a USB C port in the center console for CarPlay.
