Not fully. It doesn't have the PS menu button so you're stuck resetting it manually. Also, if your ps3 plays ps2 games they won't work either, you need an official controller because it resets upon loading. IMHO it's not worth the hassle. r/PS3.

No it's two different plugs entirely. No usb type is different. The PS3 and PS4 use two completely different kinds of usb cables: MiniUSB for PS3, and MicroUSB for PS4. A MiniUSB plug won't connect to a MicroUSB plug, and vice versa. So, a PS3 controller charger also wouldn't work with PS4 controllers.
