Subaru outback driver window reset.
2021 window problem. A rainy day here in San Antonio. I parked in a lot and had the driver side window down, rolling it up or down as the off and on rain allowed. When I was ready to go in for my appointment, I tried to close the window. It would run up an inch or do, pause, then go back to the full open position. This repeated several times.
Go to the pass door, roll the window down, then roll all the way up and hold the button for a couple seconds. That should fix it. It's in the manual somewhere, but I read about it here. It's love that makes a Subaru, not necessarily a logical user experience. Parts left out cost nothing and create no service problems.There's a window reset procedure that might fix this - maybe caused by the battery disconnect. Dealer showed me how to reset. Start with the window up, then lower the window and HOLD the button down for 5 seconds, then raise the window and HOLD the window up for 5 seconds. My passenger window will not roll up on a Subaru outback 2016, neither passenger or the driver side control switch are not working. I tried to reset it and it’s still not working. I’m thinking my motor is blown. Or a fuse, but if a fuse is blown, wouldn’t that affect all my windows?

Now my passenger wont move from EITHER passenger side OR driver side, so it isn't a dead battery reset. I've pulled the battery for 45 min to see if I could force a reset and no luck. The switch can be opened (carefully, to not lose the springy parts inside), to examine the electrical contacts and the button linkage (to identify why it had that weird feeling). The motor has brushes and a commutator, and either could be worn out/damaged, or a winding in the motor might be open circuit, or shorted.Apr 23, 2019 · Started having power window issues recently on my 2016 Limited. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash. Both covers have legends on them describing the fuses.
