I've had a Kimber Stainless Target II for about 15 years, and the only problems I've ever had were from weak (under 1100fps) 10mm loads. They don't always fully cycle the slide, and tend to fail to feed. With the handloads I make and the older, more powerful Winchester Silvertips (1275+ fps iirc), I've never had an issue.

Try the magazines that came with the gun first, then buy more if they work for you. I have spent many a dollar trying to find the perfect wonder magazine.
