You can use a gen 5 17 barrel in a gen3 17 slide on a gen3 19 frame. Since the gen 5 full size barrels were standardized at the 19 lug spacing. I used the lone wolf guide rod on mine but now wonder if the gen 5 17 guide rod would have been the correct length.
