Last Monday I went to my USCIS account and under the documents section I had an i-765 standalone approval since 31st of May even though my status didn't change in the main page. Today I received the the approval letter in the mail. Does anyone know why? And will my status change before I receive the card?

The first extension was 24 months and the second one which I received in March is for 48 months. Every time I check the processing time, it keeps getting pushed back.
