Press +. Some vehicles allow a gunners view in a small window at the right or left side. If this view does not appear immediately, press + again. Though this is not a fullscreen view, just a small PIP window. So the only way to see the gunner view is just watching that small screen with +. #8.
You need to maintain a vertical airspeed anywhere from -1 to -15 m/s, and your airspeed must be somewhere below about 20 km/h. Any faster and you'll risk damaging the hull or the instrumentation. Of course any faster than that can cause catastrophic damage to the heli. Maneuver the helicopter sideways with [A] and [D]. Pull the nose down [W] to gain speed and up [S] to lose it. Use the rudder [Q] and [E] to rotate left/right. Use the mouse to control the helicopter smoothly.

Using my controller I had to turn the dead zones way up in the controller settings to stop the helicopter from drifting on its own. ColemanV.

I have about 7k hours on arma 2/3 and ive spent so much time flying helis in it, simply being able to rebind the heli control keys would be amazing because its really difficult to adjust to new controls after around 2k hours of flying in a diff game with diff controls. BFM teaches you that throttle doesn't matter, in AFM throttle matters at every speed even you are flying straight. It takes far more concentration and skill to fly AFM. personally i bind pitch and roll to my mouse (nose down mouse up + X , nose up mouse down + C , mouse left roll left + Q , mouse right roll right + E ) and A and D for pedals (A left, D right) W and S for thrust (W increase, S decrease ) and speed break control s. i find using a more precise input with pitch and roll allows for a higher degree of accuracy, C ,X ,Q and E allow you to still free ...Go into controls.
