After first sharp right turn, Slip dash light came on. Self-resetting did not occur while driving in straight line. Local Nissan dealer offered to "reload lost data" for $120.

Put the transmission in N and cycle the 4wd to 4 high or 4 lo. Sometimes you have to move a little put it back to Nuetral and cycle till the light goes off. When the VDC light is on you might've turned on the 4wd without doing it properly and it gets stuck in low range. Hopes this helps.
