I put the MGW shifter in my Z06 and got a new OEM lower box. Car seemed fine but on a long trip (Power Tour) it would occasionally jump out of 6th on decel. While traveling with no tools or place to work, went to a well known shop near Tampa and they readjusted things (they said "no charge" so I bought them lunch).I had the c6 shifter in my car for about 6 or 7 hundred miles and switched to the MGW and I wished I would have just done that first. The C6 Z06 shifter does not have short throws like an aftermarket shifter. It's in between stock and aftermarket, as far as throws (a little closer to stock), but it's very smooth and quiet. Its not as stiff as most of the aftermarket performance shifters and very precise as compared to the C5 version.
