Just run it in by hand, or with a battery drive drill, and lightly deburr the hole. Don't get crazy with pressure and go through. Just a light touch.It shouldn't do that. The firing pin rides in a square slot and has a couple extensions on the bottom to hold it in place and limit its travel. The lever lockup should be positive and tight. Then slide the lever straight down out of the receiver .
