John deere 990 problems.
I have a John deere 990, 2003. Only about 600 hours on it. worked great until 2 days ago. Would crank just fine, but not catch. It grabbed a few times, but shut off in less then a few seconds. Acted like no fuel. Checked fuse box, fuel lines, changed both fuel filters, there is fuel in all lines including one leading to mechanical fuel pump.

THe reason is that when you let the air out, you mess up the gear ratio harmony between the front and rear axle. I have a John Deere 990 compact tractor that is having electrical problems. I would turn the key to the pre-heat position and the dash lights will light up and turn to start and everything goes dead. Turn the key back to pre-heat and no lights on the dash turn on. I have replaced the ignition key switch, same results.

I removed filter body, changed filter added fuel and delivery was good but I note that they placed the filter body almost even with the tank.
