Also, Australia and New Zealand have podiatrists but I think they are limited in surgical practice (forefoot only). From living in France for a year, I found out that orthopedic surgeons are the ones who do foot and ankle surgery. There is a profession called "podologues" who receive a 3 year degree after high school.
