I'm wondering if there's an easier way than marking every point along the topography line with an elevation. ie, extruding a spline to a certain height. Check the Autodesk Exchange Revit page. CTC has a Family Tools package that might be able to swap parameters. Set the view to hidden line. Turn off the override on the walls all together. Then go in the material editor and set the walls core layer Material to have a solid gray hatch as the cut pattern. Manage ribbon > materials > select whatever is in wall core > graphics tab > cut pattern.
