If you have only 6 cakes you could do a mini Monotub, use about 150-250g Coir, and 0.5L vermiculite and start by adding 2L water and add more later if needed. Mix well with the spawn and let colonize. Do this and you will have mushrooms about 10 days later.

Use polyfill on one tub, and your SFD's or felt on another. I bet the one with polyfill will perform the best. I barely use any polyfill in my monotubs, just enough to keep dust and stuff out.
