The fire axe is definitely the best melee weapon in the game. It's found exclusively inside fire stations. It has the highest damage, it obviously doesn't need fuel, but most importantly, however, the fire ax has impressive range. While you can use it to cut down trees, the weapon is best reserved for use against humans and zombies alike.
Being warm doesn't directly cure any sicknesses, but the normal white temp is the most optimal for getting your food and water levels higher. Being cold uses more energy and being hot drains water. To cure your cholera, the food/water/blood/health have to be all full white and above. I suggest you start looking for vitamins or antibiotics. Its pretty easy (if its just a cold) to keep infecting one another. Maybe some fact checking is in order but i think lot balaclava or mask can reinfect you so disinfect or disgard. Gett the hear buff, stay dry and warm. That and vit pills will sort you out. I can't speak for PC players, but getting sick on console is basically a death note. You can eat unlimited amounts of raw food and drink from any water source while the pill icon is displayed from a multi. You can also eat with bloody hands no problem.Once my sickness went away I still took a series of multivitamins, and I didn't seem to get sick again. Just take like 4 or 5 after you've cured and it should help. Shave with a clean knife if your character is a male, having facial hair can make/keep you sick. TRY CLEANING THE BOTTLE AGAIN.

I think alcoholic tincture works for purifying water too. PSA: take a multivitamin (or 2) right before or after taking a single tetracycline and sickness will be removed before the pill symbol disappears.
