Go to task manager and if it's there disabled it, restart the computer. Your keyboard and mouse should now work without issue. #12. Report abuse. You could try to reset your console. Go to settings, system, console and updates, reset console and choose to keep everything. After that your console will restart and make you go through a quick set-up and sign in again. Try the game again When the console fully loads up and it will hopefully resolve the issue. Fight some bugs, grab stuff. You will see a couple of other terminals along the way that you can ignore (for the purposes of getting out of the Vault). the way fallout's scripting works it disables vats on button press opens the door then reenables vats speedrunners don't touch the button therefore vats is never disabled with the door being stuck the script to reenable vats never fires because the door script never finishes I do hope you enjoyed this little fun fact that explains why vats is fucked for you and not speed runners :)
The damage may already be done to those save files. So you may have to try starting a new game just to see if you get stuck in vats, in the new game.
