Bowfa without crystal armour.
Crystal armour doesnt need a defensive value buffs, but it could act as a proselyte armour for ranged. Give it prayer bonuses comparable to Other BIS prayer. On top of that, it could have some small ranged str bonus, making it into a more offensive option compared to other tier 70 ranged armour ( like karils,armadyl, blessed dhide ).

Melee was the biggest bottleneck, but was fine when i got fang.Bowfa is comparable to tbow in the sense that bofa < tbow. They both have the same attack range, although bowfa hits faster (4t vs 5t), tbow is better against all the important monsters (jads, zuk, mages). If you're learning you want all these monsters to go down as quickly as possible. Thing is you probably should not wait for tbow to drop.
With 99 range/pegs crystal bow with crystal armor actually outperforms even blowpipe ammy darts at Mystics, Olm Head, but is much worse at tightrope and Muttadiles, 6.9DPS - 8.09 DPS for cbow/bp. The bowfa can literally not even be used, let alone made op, without the quest line. Crystal Shards are untradable and the only way to get them is inside priff. But the only way to get inside of priff is to do sote. You can not use bowfa without a endgame quest but you can use fang simply by camping the money snake/dragon and throwing money at ...

The crystal armour and bowfa together is what makes the bowfa so powerful. The complaint is more motivated by BowFa/F-Bow being in the same tier of power as the T-Bow, which is an ultra-rare reward from Raids 1. And yes, that is where the BowFa sits, which is why so many people burn out doing CG for it. Because most people would rather do 100-200 hours of CG then 500-1000 hours of CoX.
Though it does have the benefit of being quite a bit cheaper to use, assuming it’s corrupted. If not, then the cost of ammo and scales would be less than cost of corrupting for quite some time. 1. Also a side-note I've done Muspah with both T Bow and BOWFA; I liked the 4-tick aspect of BOWFA as it's easier to time avoiding the attacks while kiting (for me at least!).The mages have insanely high melee def. If the bowfa was a 1/10,000 drop, would it still be worth it?
