I'm also a big fan of the mod, but I just don't enjoy Standalone at this point in time. It's still very much an early-access Alpha that has a lot of bugs, desync issues and the list goes on. It has a lot of potential, especially when modding becomes a thing.

What are people's thoughts on the current state of DayZ. It's a game that I was always interested in from a distance but all I kept reading about was development hell and feature creep that slowed down development. I decided to see if the game still had a population and according to steam charts it's as popular as it's ever been. They stay within an area provided for them.
