Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home was founded by William H. Bills, who started his career as a furniture maker and undertaker in 1908. He opened his first funeral home in Belfast, Tennessee, and later moved to Lewisburg in 1928. He was joined by his son, William H. Bills Jr., who became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1936.
