Springfield prodigy vs staccato p.

Since my post earlier last year, sold my Prodigy to a good buddy (i.e., he sells it.. I get first dibs back…lol). My P is so flawless and such a great shooter, I saw no reason to have both. I shoot my pistols and don’t like safe queens, so it was an easy choice. ZERO, absolute zero regrets buying a Prodigy. Learned the 2011 platform on it.

The Prodigy retails for around $1,200 and and optics ready Staccato P is $2,500. So almost double the price. To me it’s not worth it for DLC and tool steel internals. I disagree on your opinion the fit and finish aren’t night and day. Tool steel, no crappy cerakote, tighter barrel lockup, and tighter slide to frame….The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. The Staccato is super reliable, a flat shooter, and one of my more accurate shooters (along with the EDC).

The Staccato P series was adopted by the US Marshal’s Special Operation Group. The gun is approved for use by Las Vegas Metro, the Texas Rangers, and over 280 police agencies across the country. Adorned with a 4.4-inch barrel and full-sized frame, the Staccato P is exceptionally handy. The all-metal frame eats up 9mm recoil like it’s nothing.

#1 · Sep 13, 2022. Be interesting to see how the new Springfield Armory Prodigy does vs the Staccato P. It really looks very similar to the P at a significant price reduction. I'm totally happy with my P and what I paid for it at the time, but if the Prodigy tests out well will certainly put pressure on Staccato and other 2011 manufacturers; think?

Dawson red dot plates are 150 to 160 for a Staccato, unless you want to run a DPP, which is only $40 for that kit.Nothing wrong with the prodigy, especially if you’re gonna build it and change everything. Dec 13, 2022 · Plus, you know, it's a Wilson. $2700 isn't that much more than a Stacatto, especially when you consider Stacatto mags cost basically 2X as much ($40-45 vs $80-100)... so if you're going to end up getting 6-10 mags the original price difference ends up narrowing further.
