I had very bad experience at the entrance of GILROY GARDENS this weekend 07/30/2011. We visited the park with some friends since it’s “bring a friend along with membership” weekend. The security guard at the entrance asked me to open the diaper bag and I did, he found a box and asked me what it was. The original Hall's Mercantile was located in the James Ellis Building at 6th and Monterey Highway in Gilroy. It was known for its landmark horse and rider on the roof. The cowboy was named after the rodeo rider Casey Tibbs and his horse, War Paint.
