It's different than the "lost item" sound that you can initiate form the Find My app. I found the chirping sound happens whenever they are charging, so it happens shortly after they are in the case if its plugged in, and it also happens later on as once they charge, they are allowed to discharge a little bit and are then trickle charged back to 100%, so the chirp would happen periodically. 2.
